We awarded the best students of this year's Academy Kroměříž
The 8th Academy Kroměříž concluded with a final concert full of emotions, masterful performances and standing ovations. During the evening, the laureates of 2025 were also announced – young violinist Filip Fehér, the Kubitov Quartet and special award winners Pavel Divín, David Pěruška and Anton Aslamas. All of them have thus been included among the talents that will be heard on large concert stages in the future.
Filip Fehér (*2012) – violin
Lecturer: Dalibor Karvay
Filip Fehér comes from Galanta and the violin became his destiny at the age of three. Today, at the age of thirteen, he is one of the greatest talents of his generation. He attends the Elementary School in Čierny Brod and at the same time studies privately with the violinist Dalibor Karvay in Vienna. His determination and talent soon became evident in competitions - in 2022 he won first prize with distinction in the prestigious Prima la Musica competition of Viennese music schools. He spends three hours practicing every day and dreams of a career as a soloist on the world's big stages.
Kubit Quartet
Lecturer: Pavel Nikl
The Kubitov Quartet is a young ensemble founded in June 2024, made up of graduates of the Orchestral Academy of the Czech Philharmonic. Although it has only existed for a short time, it has already managed to perform abroad – for example, at the Czech Center in New York. The quartet is led by violinist Filip Kubita (1st violin), and is accompanied by Kateřina Vítečková (2nd violin), Michaela Sedláčková (viola) and Petr Hamerský (violoncello). The ensemble develops its interpretation under the leadership of prominent figures of the Czech music scene – Jiří Panocha and Irena Jakubcová. Despite its short existence, it shows great potential to become a prominent Czech chamber music ensemble.
David Pěruška (*2002) – cello
Special Award | Lecturer: Michaela Fukačová
David Pěruška has been playing the cello since the age of five. Since childhood, he has been collecting awards at Czech and international competitions - for example, at the National Competition of the Czech Music School, at the competition in Liezen or at Concertino Praga, where in 2021 he and Kristián Mráček won the absolute victory in the chamber category. In 2022, he became a laureate of the Gustav Mahler Prize competition and performed with the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava. In addition to his solo career, he is also engaged in chamber music, performing alongside leading Czech and foreign artists and participating in courses by world-renowned professors. In 2024, he presented himself as a member of the UN Youth Orchestra under the baton of Christoph Eschenbach at Carnegie Hall in New York. He is currently studying at the HAMU in Prague with Prof. Mikael Ericsson.
Anton Aslamas (*1988) – piano collaboration
Special Award | Lecturer: Zdeněk Klauda
Pianist, composer and accompanist Anton Aslamas comes from a musical family. He studied at the Brno Conservatory, later at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts and also in Dresden. As a composer and performer, he has won numerous awards and his works have been performed, for example, by the South Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic and the Pilsen Philharmonic. He collaborates with leading Czech and foreign performers, including violinist Milan Paľa and baritone Filip Bandžak. He also devotes himself to notation and arranging compositions. He works as an accompanist at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and VOŠ and his work is appreciated for its extraordinary musical versatility.
Pavel Divín (*1993) – vocals (baritone)
Special Award | Lecturer: Adam Plachetka
Baritone Pavel Divín is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava, where he studied with Martin Gurbaľ. Since 2023, he has been a laureate of the International Antonín Dvořák Competition in Karlovy Vary. He collaborates with the opera ensemble of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, where he participates in a number of productions. His interpretative confidence, distinctive baritone and ability for musical expression place him among the young singing generation, from whom the professional public and the audience expect much.
The 9th annual international Academy Kroměříž will take place from August 13th to 20th, 2026.
