Simona Šaturová

Simona Houda-Šaturová is a highly sought-after interpreter of Mozart's characters and the repertoire of the Italian bel canto period. She is a renowned concert singer. She collaborates with the Vienna Philharmonic and Herbert Blomstedt, the Staatskapelle Dresden and Manfred Honeck, the Munich Philharmonic and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. In the Mozart trilogy (Mozart – Da Ponte) at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, she performed to great acclaim as Donna Anna and Countess Almaviva, and her Countess Almaviva was also successful in the production of The Marriage of Figaro with the Collegium 1704 orchestra under the baton of Václav Luks and directed by Jiří Heřman, performed at the National Theatre in Brno and the Théâtre de Caen.

She has performed in impressive concert and opera productions at, for example, the Semperoper in Dresden, the Theater an der Wien, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the Aalto Theater in Essen and the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the Frankfurt Opera, the National Theatre in Prague, New York's Carnegie Hall, the Konzerthaus and the Musikverein in Vienna, and many other opera houses and prestigious festivals. Her discography is also rich. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Thalia Prize.
