Collegium Colloredo
Collegium Colloredo is made up of leading Czech virtuoso performers united by their love of Baroque music, the inspiring atmosphere of Kroměříž, and admiration for the musical legacy of the Archbishop's Castle, whose archive hides unique musical treasures.
The Collegium Colloredo Orchestra is the resident ensemble of the Kroměříž Academy. Its name refers to a significant figure in Kroměříž history. Antonín Theodor Colloredo-Waldsee was the first Archbishop of Olomouc, later becoming a cardinal. The ensemble is made up of Czech virtuoso performers who were brought together by their love of Baroque music, the genius loci of Kroměříž, and admiration for the inexhaustible wealth of the famous music archive of the archbishop's castle.
The Collegium Colloredo ensemble has successfully presented itself at renowned music festivals, such as Concentus Moraviae , Leoš Janáček International Music Festival, Brno Music Marathon, and regularly performs at the Academy Kroměříž music festival.
