Harafica thrilled the audience in the courtyard of the Art School
The courtyard of the Kroměříž Elementary School of Art was transformed into the venue for an exceptional musical experience on Saturday, August 15. As part of the accompanying program of the Academy Kroměříž festival, the popular dulcimer band Harafica performed here, offering the audience an energetic fusion of Moravian folklore and modern musical concepts.
Yesterday's open air concert attracted a large audience of all generations, who appreciated the virtuosity of the musicians and their original arrangements from the first notes. Harafica once again confirmed that she can easily combine traditional folk music with contemporary sound and thus appeal to a very wide spectrum of listeners.
The setting of the historic courtyard of the ZUŠ provided a unique backdrop for the entire performance. The early summer evening under the open sky underlined the intimate, yet exceptionally lively atmosphere.
Harafica, whose roots date back to 1999 in Uherské Hradiště, today forms an integral part of the Moravian cultural scene. Under the leadership of principal conductor Martin Melichárek and artistic director, cimbalom player Petr Gablas, the band has developed into a progressive ensemble that successfully enriches folklore with elements of popular and film music and original work.
Harafica's concert thus became one of the most striking informal highlights of this year's Academy Kroměříž and offered exactly what the combination of traditional music and the historic city promised: an evening full of emotions, energy, and unrepeatable summer magic.
