Festival Hudební Kroměříž

The Summer Music Academy in Kroměříž (LHAK) offers a varied accompanying programme for the general public called – Hudební Kroměříž, Classical Music Festival.

The festival will take place from 10 to 22 August 2020, but it will also offer a prologue – a concert of the symphony orchestra with extraordinary soloists as soon as 9 June 2020, and then the concert Future Masters – Echoes of the Summer Music Academy in Kroměříž in November 2020.

The festival aims to focus on two important lines – the first is the Music Archive Kroměříž, and then the 250th anniversary of birth of Ludwig van Beethoven.

The long-term intention is primarily to unite and dramaturgically interconnect the history and the present, to put professional artists alongside the beginners, and to set quality music in beautiful historical places.

Three concert series

and another special programme of the festival

The orchestral series will bring three concerts with prominent soloists and ensembles, and the laureates of LHAK 2019 will introduce themselves as well. The festival will also offer a chamber series with beautiful musical delicacies. Kroměříž will be honoured by significant internationally renowned artists. This series also offers a free open-air concert with another programme for the general public. In addition to concerts for children, the family series also prepared a workshop for families with children and a family afternoon with an adventure programme.

Another programme will offer a talk and a lecture, as well as thematic creative and music workshops in the Flower Garden, or in the public space of Kroměříž for free.
