The Kroměříž Music Festival begins. It will be opened by a concert with the Collegium Colloredo Orchestra
The fifth annual classical music festival Hudební Kroměříž begins today. The entire festival will open with the concert "Le retour de la Paix" (The Return of Peace) at 19.00:XNUMX p.m. in the Rotunda of the Flower Garden. The Collegium Colloredo Orchestra, violinists Tomáš Netopil and Jana Chytilová Anýžová, cellist Petra Čadová Machková, lute player Karel Fleischlinger, harpsichordist Barbara Maria Willi and soprano Markéta Klaudová will perform.
The Collegium Colloredo Orchestra, named after a significant figure in Kroměříž history, is composed of artists who perform Baroque music. Antonín Theodor Colloredo-Waldsee was the first Archbishop of Olomouc and later became a cardinal.
The concert program includes, among other things, pieces from the Kroměříž music archive (Gratiani Bonifatio - Stella Coeli extirpavit, Pietro Andrea Ziani - Sonatae a 3 number 2 and Sonatae a 3 number 3), and the cantata Le Retour da la Paix by Michel Pignolet da Montéclair will be performed at the end.
