The Academy Kroměříž 2026 Festival invites you to a week full of music, inspiration and exceptional personalities
The Academy Kroměříž 2026 Festival has published the complete program for this year and has started selling tickets. From August 13 to 20, it will offer concerts, discussions and unique meetings with top Czech and foreign artists. It will traditionally connect the international music academy with a classical music festival, the dramaturgy of which is being prepared by conductor Tomáš Netopil.
The festival will open on August 13 with the baroque concert Ad Astra in the Chamber Hall of the Archbishop's Palace. Soprano Simona Šaturová, baritone Pavel Divín and the resident ensemble Collegium Colloredo will take the audience on an evening full of baroque elegance and emotion.
Another popular part of the festival is the open air concert in the courtyard of the Kroměříž Art School . This year, on August 15, the dulcimer band Harafica will perform , combining the temperament of Moravian folklore with sensitive musical overlaps and contemporary sound.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the Gala Concert of the Academy Kroměříž . The Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc, conducted by Tomáš Netopil, will accompany the laureates of last year's Academy Kroměříž - cellist David Pěruška and violinist Filip Fehér . The concert will remind you that the Academy Kroměříž is not only a place of education, but also a space where new musical personalities grow up.
The festival will also offer an accompanying program in the form of two discussions. In a live talk show by PATRIOT Magazine, Ivona Křivánková, Václav Křivánek and Tomáš Netopil will meet to discuss the topics of music, education and cultural life.
The second discussion will bring Tomáš Netopil, Kateřina Kněžíková and Štefan Margita together on stage and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of top music artists.
An important part of the festival are the traditional Future Masters concerts (there will be four this year) , which feature selected students of the Academy Kroměříž. It is here that visitors can discover extraordinary young talents from the Czech Republic and abroad, often before they even take to the world's big stages.
The entire festival will culminate on August 20 with the Closing Concert of the Academy Kroměříž . For the first and last time, the Academic Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Tomáš Netopil will perform , assembled especially for this year from talented students of the Academy Kroměříž. The unique ensemble will be created only for this evening and will never be repeated in this form again. The concert will also include the announcement of the laureates of the year 2026.
Academy Kroměříž has long combined concert practice with intensive education of young musicians. This creates a unique environment in which world-renowned performers, teachers and the upcoming generation of artists meet.
